Groceries delivered to an elderly neighbour during winter

James noticed that the elderly woman next door — Mrs. Chen — hadn't been to collect her mail in almost two weeks.

He knocked. She answered, surprised anyone had noticed. She'd been unwell, she said, and hadn't wanted to bother anyone.

James started bringing groceries every week. Then his wife joined. Then their kids. Then three other neighbours, inspired by a give.au post, joined in too.

Mrs. Chen is now an honorary "give.au ambassador" in her community. She says she feels less alone than she has in 10 years.
