Fresh flowers left at a bus stop every Friday for a year
For an entire year, every Friday morning, a small bunch of flowers appeared at the bus stop on Collins Street. No note. No name. Just flowers.
Commuters began to look forward to them. Photos were shared. People started talking to each other while admiring them. A small community formed around a bus stop — brought together by anonymous generosity.
When the flowers stopped appearing on Friday 53, there was a collective moment of grief. Then something extraordinary happened: three different people started bringing flowers the following week. And the week after that.
The tradition continues today. Nobody planned it. Nobody owns it. It just is — a small, living act of beauty, maintained by a community that never met.
